Woonsocket, Rhode Island. I have my bachelor's in Secondary Education with a major in English and my master's in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching 7th grade ELA for 14 years. I absolutely love the middle school level. I student taught 7th grade and haven't left yet. Each day is an adventure that I still enjoy.
I am on the Rhode Island Teen Book Award committee. I attended 3 summer ASTAL Write for Young People Institutes where I worked one on one with three fabulous YA authors: Kelly Easton, Mark Peter Hughes, and Padma Venkatraman. I read and write in any spare time I can find after caring for my 2 year old daughter.
